Reminiscing About The Past

I love to take photographs of locations with historical significance. Especially places that I grew up in. They brought back nostalgic feelings and poignant memories to me personally. They are the windows to the past.

These windows above were taken from inside a 'heritage' building at the Botanic Gardens, Singapore.

This was my great-grandparents' house at Bukit Mertajam, Malaysia. The house still looks beautiful now, with notable British design influence on the heritage architecture.

Let's look around the house.

Nobody uses this swing anymore.

A nice resting place on a lazy afternoon.

Eastern style door knob.

We used to have these electrical switches, those were the days.

Fried carrot cake, a local delicacy nearby at Bukit Mertajam, Malaysia.

Let's move south towards Singapore.

A peek into a 'rustic' home at Pulau Ubin, Singapore.

An olden style grocery store at Pulau Ubin, Singapore.

An evening at Chinatown, Singapore. The neon lights were just lighting up.
